I enjoyed the show in Manchester on the 31/01/13. However,
I feel that persuading the audience to vote for Lisa was poorly done. If for ‘home crowd’ reasons, Lisa is given the win, I can understand that. But this should not be done as part as a paid for vote. This spolied the end of the evening for me. Denise and James performed so well. To vote for them and then hear over and over ‘vote for Lisa’ felt wrong.

We had tickets for the afternoon show on Saturday and had no problem getting there but we only live 20 miles away and all the main roads into and around Birmingham were clear. My son and DIL live in Aylesbury and they missed the show but it is great to know they will be able to see it next January. Thanks Strictly.

Even if you could get to the Arena for tonight, there’s no chance you would get home if you live a few miles out of Newcastle. Many places in such a rural area (just north of Newcastle you’re in the most rural and sparsely populated area of England) are still struggling with basic needs because of the conditions (3pm on 22nd) and police advice is not to travel this evening unless your journey is critical.

You’d have thought the promoters would have done their research, but clearly they haven’t.

Paul (and others) – you say that the snow is not as bad in Newcastle as it is in Leeds. Maybe not, but in the immediate surrounding countryside the snow is awful, and we have been coping with drifts of 6-8 feet over the past few days (including today)! And several communities are still actually cut off because of the snow.

Many of us who were due to go tonight are physically unable to get there (even hospital emergencies are having to rely on helicopters), and we are truly appalled at the attitude of the promoters that there will be no refunds, and no opportunity for ticket exchanges for another night.

That is a LOT of money for us to throw away.

My daughter and I made it to the Saturday show. The weather did not cause a problem and we had a wonderful time. Please tell Denise that we think she is fab and should have won the glitter ball on Saturday and at the end of the live show. She is so much better than Louis but unfortunately the crowd seem to like Louis. Both my daughter and i totally disagree. Denise and James should definitely be the winners.

That seems fair.Difficult times for you. We are setting off from Leeds at 10am tomorrow and hoping the show will be going on in Newcastle as planned tomorrow. Snow not as bad there as it is in Leeds just now – can you advise when you will be making an announcement re: this show?
